It's no secret Nashville has become super hip in the past 5 years. I feel like every month a new trendy place pops up and I want to buy the entire contents of the store the second I walk in!
When shopping for our clients, there are so many amazing and creative decor items online, but there is nothing like being able to physically see and touch a piece in the store before you buy it. Plus there is nothing more exciting than having a friendly interaction with someone who helps you find a treasure that you didn't even know you needed!
If you are looking for your go-to décor shops in Nashville, hopefully we can help you out. We have compiled a list of our personal favorites (in no particular order). All of the photos included in this blog are directly from each store's website or FaceBook page (unless noted otherwise). We hope the pictures will give you a clear idea of their individual style and atmosphere!
How perfect is this collection of hand mirrors?! We have to give a huge shoutout to Scarlett Scales for making this wall collage possible. Scarlett Scale's has an amazing variety of antiques and the friendliest staff ever! We love ho they have laid out their store in such a way that spotlights all of their items in collections and they always have new inventory coming in. They sell antiques as well as craft made items - we actually borrowed a lot of our decor for the O'More Show House here!
As Oak says, they "create and curate one of a kind items that inspire you to re-imagine your space and redefine how you live in it." I love all the creative decor items in this store and how they so gracefully mix old and new. They also sell a lot of goods from Nashville makers and are very involved in supporting local businesses which is obviously a huge plus!
This little shop is as quirky on the inside as it looks on the outside. Everyone knows how popular Midcentury furniture is right now and this place is the Midcentury jackpot! This place has a ton of amazing deals on fun colorful furniture and also offer amazing vintage apparel! Pre to Post Modern is a total experience, you feel like you have stepped back in time to shop for your own home. You never know what you might find here, but I can guarantee you it will always be awesome!
I love how BE. vintagenashville displays their furniture and accessories, it really helps customers understand and visualize how furniture pieces can work together. Make sure and check out their Instagram and keep a close watch on their posts. A little tip from me to you, when you see something you love- pounce FAST! This place offers some of the most unique vintage pieces and they sure do move fast. There is no doubt that every home is aching to have a piece of BE.vintagenashville treasure!
This boutique embodies the hip and artistic vibes of East Nashville, starting out as a home based Instagram business and eventually turning into what it is today. They recently appeared in Country Living, for contributing many decor items to Sheryl Crow's beautiful custom house! Apple & Oak have no shortage of cute items to peruse, and they often have their bar cart full of tasty libation to accompany you on your visit.
You might not guess it by the name, but Southeastern Salvage brings in decor items from all over the world. It's always an exciting treasure hunt here and they have everything you can imagine from the tiniest decor items to materials used for home renovations. This place is a renovators dream, and they have those dream prices that make everyone excited!
Cadeau is located in 12th South Nashville and has a adorable interior. The shop owner and staff are always delightful and friendly and they carry such creative decor pieces. They also have a lot of random fun items thrown in that make for a great store browsing experience!
Have you ever wanted to curl up with a cup of coffee, but then you realize that the blanket wrapped around you and the comfy chair you are curled up in actually belongs to the store that you are shopping in?... I feel like this probably happens to most people who visit City Farm House. This store has the perfect balance of old farm house antiques mixed with a touch of bustling city life- hence the name! If you are looking for a piece that tells a story, this is the place for you- every item here looks as if it has a story to be told.
This place is a personal favorite of our very own Abby Gifford (she may have taken a few of these photos...)! Though this is more of a nursery/ landscaping business than straight up decor business, they have an amazing variety of cacti, pots and popular house plants. Even if you do not have a green thumb, the staff at Gardens of Babylon will help you find the perfect plant for your home. Another tip- if you have children you should take them with you. This place is definitely field trip worthy for all the little ones, the staff here have so much knowledge of every plant and are great at answering questions. You can also hire someone to be your personal farmer (the dream!).
Preservation Station explains their business saying, they are "designers', builders', and home-owners' source for antique lighting and unusual architectural elements." If you are looking for some interesting windows, doors, hardware and any other architectural antique, look no further- this place is a true gem. They also have a great website that makes it easy to browse through all their inventory.
If you have any favorites you think we should add to our list, let us know. We love supporting local businesses in Nashville and are so excited for all the new stores popping up and joining the Nashville decor community!
